Ive been researching these two cars and trying to decide which one to buy but so far theyre both dead even, Which would you choose?

Well civic is much more reliable but jettas safer. I own a 2000 Jetta and it actually has more options than a 2012 civic. And even some of the new Jetta. Vw went through a rough patch. My cars generation was so popular they were able to make an extremely safe and nice 2006 model but not many were sold due to appearance and the 2012 had to get smaller engines and cheaper interior. If vw never had that bad time id say go for the Jetta cause it’s better but the 06 is better. Even mine look up all about it. The hood doesn’t even hold up itself anymore. It has become a Japanese car! The only German car in america that downgraded. The civic didn’t do much either. They added a few more stuff cause it’s newer naturally but is still behind with options. My friends brand new accord FULLY LOADED has less options than my car expect nav. But I got both a phone and gps for that. Pretty pathetic and sad. I’d say look for a Mercedes or BMW if possible. I wouldn’t buy a vw again since my car has more than the new one. good luck.

I used to have a Jetta and that piece of **** was giving me problems less than a year after I got it. I sold it and got a Civic. A Civic saves a lot more gas, will last you longer, and the parts will cost you less than a Jettas.

Look up the history and reliability of each manufacture and the engines both vehicles are running. I’d go with whichever one has the better history report.

Civic. No doubt about it. It’ll last longer and parts are always way cheaper

I would get a new Focus, save some money and I don’t have to buy an import.
