Really Curious. Because im going to put a lot of money into it already. And it almost has 200k miles on it but by the time I leave for BMT for the air force and get out i might want to drop a new engine in it at take it to base. (Wherever im stationed.). Just wondering how much the engine, roughly, would costs then how much it would cost usually to drop it in. Any ideas?

The engine along with Ecu WILL cost you $1500 and above.(Not including shipping), The best price I’ve seen for an H22 is from Hmotorsonline. You will find no negative feed back about them. To have a shop drop it in, it CAN cost up words of $2000-4000. It sound ridiculous, I know, but that’s what a quick google search did for me.

97 civic hatch shift linkage fitment! help!?

i have a 97 civic hatch with a jdm gsr motor and gsr trans… i replaced the shift linkage because the old on was all sloppy bc the previous owner used a nut and bolt to hold it together so i got another one… its from a da integra.. i was told it would fit since they are both b-series.. BUT after i put it on… it hits the exhaust and vibrates off of it when its in gear.. AND when its in like 3rd gear the shifters position is at the normal neutral position… and lets say i shift to 4th…. the shift knob slams down against the plastic cancel around the shift boot.. like when its in 3rd its in the neutral position… hard to explain but idk why its like that… yes its on right! PLEASE HELP! why is it like this!!

they were all cable
either you were fool for a different shift linkage but the problem is you have the wrong shift linkage
or you installed the shifter the wrong way

My Accelerator on my car is jumping?

So I own a Honda Civic 2002 and it just recently started driving a little weird- the accelerator is jumping up farther than it normally does and it won’t accelerate the way it use to. It will be at 3 or 4 where it use to be at 3. It will go 40mph up a hill I’ve driven numerous times- and it usually goes to 60mph there.
I’ve had my Transition re-done, and a blown head gasket repaired and I think I could use a new battery but I don’t know if these two things are the same problem and I am guessing they are not. I just would like to know what you think it is?> AND also how much would the repair work cost me?

I wanna buy a car kinda fast i will be using it as daily driver with like 100miles used a day at least what u guys think.I am looking for one around those models less than 80k miles i got 13k work with any chances and is it worth it.

Civics are not Fast, really, but they are good reliable cars. SI has the most Horsepower, and manual transmission will get the best mileage and durability without maintenance. It has enough power to get you out of jams in traffic, more than a lot of other small cars.
I would buy a Civic, I would also buy a Sentra SE-R. or a Toyota GT-S.

what do i need to tune the engine?? Turbochargers or superchargers….air filters……but not wide body kits

the best way you can get the maximum out of your car in your budget is a turbo and get a free flow exhaust system. If you want to go beyond this, then you have to put a real big hole in your pockets, like changing the crank, the size of the bore, etc,etc.. DO NOT go beyond these as you will have problems with your braking and the flywheel and all..the turbo and the free flow exhaust will add quite an "oomph" that you are looking for.
